what is cOUNSELLING
Counselling helps you explore and address personal, emotional, or psychological challenges you may be struggling with. Counselling offers you a safe, confidential space where you can talk about what's on your mind—whether it's stress, relationships, loss, anxiety, or any other issue.
In counselling, the goal is to help you understand your feelings, thoughts, and habits, and to give you the tools or strategies you need to cope or make positive changes.
We can talk to friends and family but the difference is that as a Counsellor I will listen without judgment and offer you support, guidance, and sometimes practical advice, in a way that can be sometimes be difficult for those closest to you to do. Counselling offers you a rare opportunity to focus on just you and your well-being.
Counselling isn't about giving you direct solutions, but rather helping you discover the solutions that work best for you. It’s a collaborative process that can empower you to feel more confident in managing life's difficulties and making the right choices for you.

How we work together is ultimately up to you! I’m here to guide and support you, but you are in charge of your own journey. I know it might feel a bit overwhelming at first, but I’m here to reassure you that, at the heart of it, you know yourself best. The process is all about you, your pace, and what feels right for you.
Together we will explore what’s brought you to counselling and I will invite you to share anything you feel comfortable with, in a space free from judgment. Whether you prefer to simply talk, use specific prompts, or get creative, we’ll find a way that feels right for you. Your feelings can change from week to week, and that’s completely normal—there’s no "right" or "wrong" way to go about it. It’s about finding what works best for you.
